Hubs

Kappius KH-1

  • Wide bearing spacing maximizes wheel stiffness and bearing lifespan
  • Enduro angular contact bearings for maximum life and minimum rolling resistance
  • Type 3 Black Anodization: Highest wear performance, Rockwell 60C hardness, smooth surface and deepest coloring
  • Secondary surface coating (gold look on relieved areas) offers 60x corrosion resistance
  • Relieved carbon center offers no differential pressure in the hub. Differential pressure can result in bearing seal permeation due to an air pressure differential between the inside and outside of the hub from temperature and atmospheric changes.
  • Large flange size results in a stiffer wheel due to a higher bracing angle and reduced spoke lengths.

 Front:

    • Weight: ~110 grams
    • 28 and 32 hole configurations for Lefty, 9mm QR and 15mm TA forks.

Rear

    • 240 point drive mechanism: A 60 tooth drive ring is engaged by 8 neodymium spring pawls engaging in pairs offering a pawl driven industry leading 1.5 degree engagement. Patent pending design.
    • Compatible with all 10 speed mountain drivetrain systems and SRAM 1x11 mountain drivetrains.
    • Utilizes SRAM XX 11-36, SRAM XX1/XO1 10-42. Retrofitting is offered free of charge and cog sets are available at retail.
    • Offered in 28 and 32 hole configurations for 135mm QR and 142x12mm TA. End caps are easily changed and use the same axle.
KH-1.5
  • The KH-1.5 offers the beautiful aesthetics of the KH-1 with the compatibility of a standard freehub body interface.
  • Enduro angular contact bearings for maximum life and minimum rolling resistance
  • Secondary surface coating (gold look on relieved areas) offers 60x corrosion resistance
  • 11/10 speed Shimano/SRAM freehub and SRAM XD Driver options
  • Exactly the same 240 point, 1.5 degree engagement system as the KH-1 with magnetically sprung pawls
  • 9mm quick release and 15mm through axle front hub options
  • 135x10mm quick release and 142x12mm through axle rear hub options
  • 24, 28 and 32 hole front and rear drilling choices

KH-2

  • Enduro angular contact bearings for maximum life and minimum rolling resistance
  • Secondary surface coating (gold look on relieved areas) offers 60x corrosion resistance
  • 11/10 speed Shimano/SRAM freehub and SRAM XD Driver options
  • Exactly the same 240 point, 1.5 degree engagement system as the KH-1 with magnetically sprung pawls
  • 9mm quick release and 15mm through axle front hub options
  • 135x10mm quick release and 142x12mm through axle rear hub options
  • 28 and 32 hole front and rear drilling choices
