Kappius Front Hub


Initially designed as a cosmetic complement to our Kappius rear hubs, the Kappius front hub has transformed more than just beautiful cosmetics.

  • Wide bearing spacing: Stiffer front end giving you better control
  • ABEC-5 Double Seal bearings standard, Hybrid Ceramic and Full Ceramic upgrades available
  • Type 3 Black Anodization: Highest wear performance, Rockwell 60C hardness, Smooth surface and deepest coloring
  • Secondary surface coating (gold look on relieved areas) offers 60x corrosion resistance
  • Relieved carbon center offers no differential pressure in the hub. Differential pressure can result in bearing seal permeation due to an air pressure differential between the inside and outside of the hub from temperature and atmospheric changes.
  • Large flange size results in a stiffer wheel and higher bracing angle. 
  • Weight: ~110 grams

Offered in 24, 28 and 32 hole configurations for Lefty, 9mm QR and 15mm QR forks. Offered in 20, 24, 28 and 32 hole road hubs. 

 



Kappius Rear Hub


  • Simple and Reliable
  • Wide wheel bearing stance: The drive side wheel bearing is moved outward on the drive side of the hub creating a much more rigid and durable structure. Easy access offers ease of maintenance. 
  • 240 point drive mechanism: A 60 tooth drive ring is engaged by 8 neodymium spring pawls engaging in pairs offering a pawl driven industry leading 1.5 degree engagement. Patent pending design. 
  • Large flange size reduces wheel wind up, higher bracing angle and increased wheel life. 
  • Compatible with SRAM and Shimano 10 speed drivetrain systems.
  • Utilizes SRAM XX 11-32/36, SRAM XX1 10-42, SRAM Red X-Glide 11-25/26/28 or SRAM Red PowerDome 11-25/26/28 cog sets. We can also retrofit SRAM XG-999 11-32 9 speed cog sets.  Retrofitting is offered free of charge and cog sets are available at retail.

Offered in 24, 28 and 32 hole configurations for 130 mm road, 135 mm QR disc mountain bike, and 142x12 mm disc mountain bike. Interchangeable end caps are included on mountain bike hubs.
